Beef and Peanut Burger

About the Recipe

This is all about a tantalising marriage of textures. Peanuts will complete and enrich the flavour of your juicy minced beef. Add the richness of peanuts, the sharpness of gerkins and you’ll definitely amaze your family and friends.

Ingredients

40g Salted Peanuts

250g lean Minced Beef

1 Shallot, peeled and finely chopped

Sea Salt

Freshly Ground Black Pepper

1 Egg Yolk

2 Tsp Rapeseed Oil

2 Brioche Buns

2 Tomatoes, sliced

Little Gem Lettuce, shredded

1 Red Onion, peeled and sliced

8 Gherkins, sliced

Preparation

Chop most of the Peanuts, leaving a few for garnish


Combine the Beef Mince, Shallot, chopped Peanuts and plenty of Sea Salt and Black Pepper

Bind together with the Egg

Divide in to two and shape into flat round cakes

Heat the Rapeseed Oil in a frying pan

Fry the burgers for 5 minutes on each side or until lightly browned and cooked through


Serve in Brioche Buns topped with sliced Tomatoes, Lettuce, Red Onion and Gherkins
