Bourbon Glazed Salmon

This Bourbon Glazed Salmon is delicious and will impress your guests, yet is so easy to make! The sweet, sticky, spicy, gingery glaze sauce is unbelievable!


100 g Dark Brown Sugar
3 Tbsp Bourbon
1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
Lime, juice only
15 g fresh Ginger, grated
1 Tsp Sea Salt and freshly Ground Black Pepper
2 Garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
15 g Runny Honey
4 Salmon fillets (about 1 inch thick)
1 Tbsp Rapeseed Oil
15 g Sesame Seeds
6 Spring Onions, sliced diagonally


Combine the first 8 ingredients in a large zip-top plastic bag
Add salmon fillets.
Seal bag, and marinate for 30 minutes, in the fridge, turning bag once.
Remove fillets from bag
Discard marinade.
Heat the Rapeseed Oil in a frying pan
Place fillets in the pan, skin side down.
Cook on a medium heat for 8 minutes
Turn each fillet over and cook for a further 2 minutes. or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.
Turn off the heat and turn each fillet again
Sprinkle each fillet with Sesame Seeds and Spring Onions.
Serve with seasonal vegetables of choice
