Salted Choc Chip Biscuits
If you’ve never tried salted chocolate chip biscuits before, you’re in for a treat!! The sprinkle of sea salt truly accentuates the rich chocolate flavour, and this recipe produces super thick and chewy biscuits that will be impossible to resist!
125 g unsalted Butter, softened
125 g Caster Sugar
125 g Brown Sugar
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
220 g Self-Raising Flour
135 g good-quality Dark Chocolate chips, plus extra to finish
1 Tsp Sea Salt flakes, plus extra to scatter
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Grease and line two large baking trays with baking paper.
Place the butter and sugars in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a whisk attachment and beat until pale.
Add vanilla extract and egg, and beat until combined.
Add the flour, chocolate chips and salt flakes and fold gently until combined.
Working with 2 Tbsp dough at a time, roll into balls and divide among trays, leaving 6cm between each ball. Flatten slightly, then press a few choc chips in to the top of each
Then scatter a few salt flakes on top of each too
Bake for 12 minutes or until golden.
